From Sketch to Final Product

Western Dynamics, Inc was requested to design hydraulic power units that was to be small, compact and lightweight. It all starts with a simple sketch on note paper and slowly develops into a final product. The sketch to the right was the final drawing after some 15-20 sketches that were made. We then move to the Cad format and start to fit each piece together. Drawings are then sent to the shop for construction, with shop personnel suggesting many improvements during construction.

From a simple sketch, design Cad and then to the shop, it takes a concentrated effort by many to produce a final customer product. A review process with the customer and end user further refines the product for the second construction unit. This evolution process produces high customer satisfaction with the final end product.
