Geopier Foundation Wants Protection

Geopier Foundation Company -West, located in Hillsboro, Oregon, purchased a vertical drill from a manufacture with expensive Poclain radial piston motors. Since the manufacture did not offer any filtration or circuitry to prevent piston lift during operation, Geopier called Western Dynamics, Inc. Their request was simple, since Geopier demands that their equipment is efficient and reliable when used on their jobs. In addition, Geopier was concerned that because this piece of equipment was attached to Caterpillar excavators with very expensive pumps, some costing $20,000 each, Geopier wanted filtration for protection.

Western Dynamics, Inc designed a manifold mounted 5000-psi high pressure filter with high collapse filter elements and reverse free flow checks. Maximum flow of 105-gpm with SAE fittings standard. In addition, a very small manifold package for radial hydraulic motors that require backpressure to prevent piston lift during operation was designed. A two-speed lockout and remote electrical circuit is currently under development for Geopier.
