Bundle Extractor Machine

When a Bellevue Washington oil refinery service company needed a redesign of an Italian made bundle extractor machine, they called Western Dynamics, Inc. A bundle is really a very large tube oil cooler or heater for processing oil crude. They can be up to 20 feet long and 5 feet in diameter, weighing up 45,000 lbs. The bundle extractor backs up to the bundle housing and extracts the core bundle from the housing, and loads the bundle on the extractor machine for transport to a work area for maintenance.

The original machine at this location encountered many hydraulic problems that caused the machine to not perform as well as it could have. Western Dynamics suggested and made design corrections to this machine that greatly improved dependability and performance.

The pictures are showing the (dead weight) load test conducted under Western Dynamics supervision upon completion of the track mounted bundle extractor. Because this machine was used in the oil refinery, dependability and safety was a priority..
